It’s the anticipation that makes them so good! Waiting for Michigan corn, tomatoes and June strawberries should be like a small child waiting for Christmas morning. The way I think is that God made fruits and vegetables seasonal so we can truly enjoy them. The hollow, tasteless and white inside January strawberries from California – I can take them or leave them. A firm bouncy winter tomato really isn’t the same tomato as the sun warmed succulent Brandywines grown locally. In-season should be important to all of us. Forty tons of Hubbard squash, fifteen tons of apples, thirty tons of cabbage plus potatoes, lettuce, tomatoes and all kinds of other local produce are used in our restaurant – all produced in and around Frankenmuth. As a family owned business we have a loyalty to the farm families in our area. Here at Zehnder’s Restaurant we buy locally as much as we can. I can see an arguement for both sides but I still feel that it is less harmfull than it is usefull.By Executive Chef John Zehnder, CEC, ACE, HGT, AACĪs an “old school” chef I firmly believe that the foods we eat should be seasonal, fresh and local. So I would find this program very helpful. That all being said I would like to know what your thought are on the matter.įYI: I am not a pro programmer but I understand programming as I do a lot of HTML/XML/Javascript/css and so on. I am sure a level can be decided on by the staff of PMC. This would reduce the "spam" of bad mods and allow for decent work to be posted even if that user is not a great programmer. Maybe MCreator should not be allowed for low level PMC users but people who have reached a level that shows they at least do decent work or work hard on their projects. I am sure that MCreator was meant to make a painstakingly long term project just a bit easier and to give the average player a chance to share their ideas. I can see how a bunch of kids would make random BS mods or low quality work but that should not take away from the potential for a great mod to be made from someone who has a great idea but not the best programming skills. This means that good mods can be made more often and the programmer can move on to bigger and better things. All that changed was the mod took a fraction of the time to make. That doesn't make it any less of a mod or take away any of its quality. If an experienced programmer decided to use this program to develop a new mod then they would come up with a well built mod much faster and they could fine tune the mod in the code itself. It may also change the time it takes to make a mod to be a fraction of the time but I see nothing wrong with it. I see this program as a great place for a "noob" to modding would get a better understanding of how a program work and what they need to know to really make a good mod. I understand the situation with a program that makes what you do so easy that a "noob" can do it, but does that mean its a bad program? It would seam that anyone who has been programming for any decent length of time is getting upset that this program exist. I have recently come across a nifty program called MCreator and found it to be interesting and effective for what its made for but.
